For Lydia, because she rocks my world.

So I called Lydia, who now resides in Chicago, last night to chat and give her an address to get my camera back. The night was getting pretty stressful because I could not get ahold of my firewire cable, a cabled I use to hook my camera to my computer.

I called, there was no answer, so I left a message. I was getting pretty agrivated because time in something that is never on my side. Time passes, Moby Dick is pissing me off more and more, and she eventually calls me back.

So we're chewing the fat back and forth and I mention that Batman Beings is being shot over there, the replies with something to the effect of, "Yeah, I'm right by it."

I go crazy and she eventually starts walking over towards the set. While doing so she explains that she was waiting tables today and some people she was waiting on had told her they were vacationing in the city and they happend to stumble upon a street, or something, that just suddenly looked very nasty and dirty. I smiled and thought, "That's Gotham City baby!"

She reached the set, she claimed she about about 50 from everything. Maybe I should also mention this is around midnight I was talking to her. She then says she sees the Batmobile and telling me everything she can about how the set looked like.

It was then I could hear talking in the background, it was to tell on-lookers and other crew members to keep quiet. The I hear "Rolling!"

It was soon after I hear the loud rumble of the Batmobile take off.

The shot was completed. Apparently they where just shooting it drive down the road. It was so fucking awesome just to hear it all.

So thanks Lydia, that was really awesome. You made a shitty week, less shitty by A LOT.

Here's a link to a video broadcast of the area if you're interested.
