Most ridiculous comic plot ever

I usually keep my comic geek ramblings limited to a select few enablers so as not to alienate the rest of you, but this one is too absurd to pass up. In the latest issue of Justice, the good guys (Superman, Batman, and their pals) decide that the only way to prevent the bad guys (Lex Luthor, Braniac, et al) from (I swear I am not making this up) GIVING THEM WORMS is to (wait for it) dress up in STYLIZED MEDIEVAL ARMOR(?!?) before going to fight them.

Did I mention that they're microscopic, mind controlling worms?
