Microsoft Live Labs: Photosynth
So I'm actually doing this to test out this blog feature from Digg, but I also wanted to share this truly incredible innovation from Microsoft. The video is really impressive, and I think it would be super fun to use when it's finally out. Think about being able to navigate around anywhere in the world like you're actually there.
I still can't get over the algorithms they must have developed to do this project. Being able to process those images in real time and connect them based on the edges and curves of the objects in the image. I don't even want to think what went into generating the point clouds. OOF!
