Damn. You know Angua and I are in. I think, after the whole Ginger thing, and the fact that Angua KNOWS Carcer and knows how dangerous he is, she'll have Vimes's back. Of course, I'm not actually sure whether that's a good thing or not. XD

Vimes would be v. disappointed if Angua didn't have his back. XD There will have to be lots of Angua involvement, yes. I'm thinking it might be great if, once he has to release Carcer, Vimes had Angua tail him. You know, for old time's sake and all that. And because there is no way Vimes is going to let him go without at least having someone watching him.

She would definitely be up for that! But yeah, when he arrests Carcer she'll be rallying behind him, because laws be damned, she knows what a psycho this guy is.

Yay! Vimes says that Angua will have his full permission to harass him as much as possible. XD

Jane will most happily be led astray by a charming fellow. She will think him just peachy.

*Thinks*

Cam would be all for throwing himself into any sort of IPD investigation (Especially after another murder). Objectively, he would argue for Carcer's freedom, because its the Right Thing To Do (Despite the fact that he'd be the same if a Goa'uld showed up). I don't think he's really in any position to be convincing or demanding of Vimes anything, but he'd still voice his dissent if he were given the proper opportunity.

Aeris could possibly be convinced he's a good guy, or worth giving a chance to become one, and Lister could be creeped out/suspicious of him.

Tis all I have to offer.

Yeah, Cam wouldn't be the person to actually convince Vimes, but I really like the idea of there being random people who object to/support Vimes decision, so Cam is free to make his opinions known :D. And he can totally be involved in investigation-y things!

The thought of Carcer screwing with both Aeris AND Jane makes me want to cry and glee all at once. XD

ARYA. ARYA WILL KILL HIS ASS if you decide not to have Vimes do it.

And now that that's off my chest, Keith might argue for release, I'd have to think it over; if he did he'd probably also call it giving him enough rope to hang himself.

And then feel hella guilty when Carcer uses that rope to hang someone else, so to speak.

Also also, William will of course be all over Vimes arresting someone who has committed no crime (although he'll be as tough on the rules, in a sense, as he is on Vimes).

ARYA FTW. I will let you know what I decide about that. :D

Awwww, Keith. I think Keith is someone who could convince Vimes to release Carcer, if that's something he would do. If it's not Keith, it will probably need to be someone on the Council, if not the Council as a whole.

I am really, really excited about de Worde getting into this. AWESOMESAUCE.

Carcer would be pleased and honoured to give Messr de Worde an exclusive interview with his persecuted self. >.> Just fyi.

Well, Lloyd knows a psycho when he sees one, but on the other hand, he's a big fan of that very Declaration. xD I'd love to get him involved somehow, though I'm not sure in what capacity.

Ahahahaha. I feel like Vimes and Lloyd need to at least have a thread about this when they're in the thick of things so that Lloyd can Voice His Opinions.

Also! It would be kind of hilarious if the IPD had to break up a fight between Carcer and Lloyd. Or at least if Carcer called foul when Lloyd punched him and they had to have a talk with the IPD about it. Bwahahaha.
