Commission Terms of Service/FAQ
Hello, and thanks for looking into commissioning me! This page has a few things you should know before you commission me, however. If you commission me, you are confirming that you have read this page.
How do I commission you?
You may either send a note through FurAffinity or email me at SirOwlbear {at} gmail.com to contact me. Please include what you want me to draw, with adequate visual references or descriptions.
When should I send payment?
Payment should be sent only after I have confirmed that I am accepting your commission. If you send it before I have confirmed, I may have to refund you. If paypal takes out fees for this, I am not responsible for them. As of right now, I only accept Paypal.
Will you begin working on my commission before I have paid?
Because of scammers in the past, I do not begin working until I have been paid in full.
Will you ever charge more than the original prices you give?
I will do this sometimes, but I will tell you before you send money how much your commission is.
Can I post the picture to my own gallery?
If you would like to post your commission to your gallery, you may do so, but only if you credit back to my page.
Can I use my commission in any commercial projects?
Unless you have specifically bought the rights to the image, you may not use the image commercially. This means you cannot use the image in a way that will make a profit. This includes (but is not limited to) printing on clothing, album covers, art cards, printing in a magazine, or selling prints of the image. If you would like to use the commission for a commercial project, we can negotiate the cost of the rights.
Will you redraw an image if I am unhappy with it?
This is situational. If the mistake is on my end (such as, I read the plainly-stated reference information incorrectly), I will either redraw or refund your money. However, if your reference information is unclear, or if you have changed the reference image after I have started the commission, I retain the right to not redraw a commission. Because of this, please make sure you are specific regarding what you want.
Can I request WIPs to cut down on potential problems?
If your commission is anything more than a sketch, I would be happy to send you either the sketch stage or lineart of a commission before I finish it.
Do you ever refund money without completing a commission?
I try my hardest not to do this, but I retain the right to refund you your payment in full for any reason.
Can I get a refund if you're taking too long?
You may request a refund, but if I have started the commission, I retain the right to not honor your request. Any fees taken out by Paypal in the refund process will not be reimbursed.
If I give you a tip, do I get any priority or special treatment?
Tipping, while GREATLY appreciated, doesn't affect the outcome of your commission. If you want it done by a certain time, please let me know in advance and we can work something out.
