Grandma's 90th Birthday

w00t w00t.

Home from Cape Breton. It was alright. Big party, lots of people. Ate, had small talk with various relatives, set up Puterbook to do a picture slideshow, etc. Unfortunately though, I don't have any cousins that are my age (either WAY younger, or mid-to-late 20's. I don't really relate to any of them very well).

Anywaaaay... dad was being dumb, and wanted me to pass my laptop around. To a bunch of drunk people, with drinks in their hands. No thank you.

I was offered beer by a cousin, but declined. I've noted that I don't like beer, nor do I like the idea of drinking with my cousins. They have this big plan to take me out on my 19th birthday and get me loaded. Pretty much think that's a bad idea.

Other than that, everything was okay. Grandma's doing exceptionally well (her 90th birthday was the occasion, btw... she was playing cards with my cousin and I), and Grandpa's... well, he's still around. He's in a nursing home, because he can't walk anymore, and his alltzheimers' pretty bad these days. I think he knew who my brothers and I were, even if he didn't know our names. He knew mom and dad, as far as I could tell.

Right. I learned how to play Texas Hold 'Em (sort of... enough to maybe get by), and relearned how to play 45's. 45's = THE Cape Breton game, along with cribbage.

Played a lot of Legend of Zelda: Windwaker. Ryan (my brother) is SO far ahead of me though, and keeps ruining major plots before I get there. Irritating. Basically probably won't get a chance to play it again for awhile.

Didn't do any homework this weekend. Was going to, but I forgot bits and pieces that were necessary to do it. Ah well.

Pretty much went straight from the van, to the shower, to eating KD, to work. Did some armish exercise stuff. I need to get more consistent, I want RESULTS.

And thus, the week starts anew. Hurrah.
