ENTRY OF DOOM (Now with LJ-Cuts!)
Fuckin' hell.
kso, it appears I haven't updated in awhile. ALRIGHT LETS DO THIS LEEROYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Went away for the weekend. Left Friday night after work at 9:15 or something with: Andrew, Nickie, Heather, and Allyson Dill. We headed up to Guysborough, to Andrew's house dealio up there.
Spent Saturday at: the beach (where we made a fire pit for later, and dug a hole in give or take rocks, Allyson made a sand-sculpture of a penis ejaculating at an ass), went to Andrew's grandmother's farm (horses, sheep, dogs, cats), went to the lake, out to supper (where our waitress was Victoria from DISP, which was pretty funny, she was in my abortion group deal for philosophy), and then did a bonfire later that night.
Turns out, kelp doesn't burn nearly as well as you'd figure a dried out plant would. So, don't try it for starting a fire.
Also, I had a pretty wicked idea. We were roasting marshmallows, and people were passing cookies around. So I was like, um, we should make smores with two chocolate chip cookies on either side. And we did. And it was terrific. Because I have awesome ideas.
We left Sunday. I worked that night. But that was okay, because I got free coffee from Tim Horton's from Britt-Britt (Michael Sharp's younger sister).
Been playing the original Unreal Tournament and Rise of Nations quite a bit. I still haven't finished various other games that I've started... but whatever. It's more about fun than an actual sense of accomplishment, right? =P
Also, watched some movies. I watched Saving Private Ryan, and for some reason I had an overwhelming sense of familiarity. Then, it hit me. I've PLAYED through these scenes. The game Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, which was based on World War II, was heavily based on the movie Saving Private Ryan. The level designs were based directly off scenes in the movie, including mission objectives, various things that happen, etc. (by the way, in the same way that the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan is intense (Omaha Beach), the game version is equally as bad/good. Probably one of the most powerful parts of a game I've played through, ever.)
I would like to have a party sometime. My last day of security is this Wednesday, so I may have a bit more time before school goes back.
Speaking of, I still don't have a complete list of courses (and quite possibly ones I'll need for next year). They didn't let me in Mici 2100 (and I have a very very slim chance of being able to get in at all), so I have to take the alternate, which doesn't fit into my schedule at all. So I have to see if I can rearrange the whole fucking thing. Basically, I've been putting it off, I'm not gonna lie. If they waited a month to tell me if I'm going to be in the course or not, another week isn't going to change much. I'd say pretty much everyone has registered by now.
Oh, and those surveys you can fill out are starting to come in at a decent rate now. In fact, I have 3 waiting to do in my inbox. Like I've stated before, as soon as I find out ones that are legit and send you the gift cards/money you've earned, I'll be sure to put referral links for all of you. =)
