Stronghold = soooooo ftw.
I've rediscovered how awesome Stronghold is. Stronghold Crusader, to be exact.
I've also downloaded Gazillionaire Deluxe, the classic game from 1996 that Nickie DeBaie had showed me ages and ages ago (we're talkin' junior high here, if not before).
Also, picking courses is a little more confusing this year than last year (um... DISP!)
Despite all the bad things DISP entailed, course selection was definitely not one of them.
But man. Stronghold. They made a Stronghold 2, and I didn't ever bother playing it. Wanna know why? Because the original Stronghold is pretty sweet. Except, it's even more gimmicky and with lame strats than Starcraft/other games.
Strategy Number One: Train a whole wack of assasins right off the bat, run right into the base and kill their king. Game over.
Strategy Number Two (if number one for some reason doesn't work): Build a bunch of trebuchets (which are pretty much really awesome any way you look at it, in a game or in RL) and destroy their granary (food storage, destroying all their food while you're at it). Continue pounding them until you get enough soldiers to run it and overthrow them.
Watched "16 Blocks" and "Four Brothers". Both were pretty okay, not fantastic. I liked Four Brothers more.
Since course selection doesn't open until 12:00, I think I might stay up until then. I'll get a little less sleep, but I'll be sure I'll get into the course I want to be in.
And besides, I still have to figure out what the fuck my minor's going to be. Or electives. Or whatever the hell else I need.
