WHERE THE FUCK'S THE POWER
Ummm, pretty much I was just chillin' in the car they gave me, playin' games on Puterbook, doin' the same ol' thing, and around 12:00-something, all of a sudden my screen loses a bunch of brightness and I see I'm on battery power. I'm all like, wtf, because I'm plugged into the building via my 100 foot extension cord. The light on the extension cord indicating power running through it was also out.
So I'm like, LOL, what's goin' on man. Some shit just got FUCKED UP.
At first, I think something in the wire went. I mean, I had it closed in the car door, but this thing is a heavy-duty wire, the kind you'd use for like... industrial work.
Soooooooooo, I decide to try other stuff in the plug (like my external HD), just to see if there's ANY power in it at all.
I do. Nothin'.
I also believe I remembered noticing one of the main signs going out. Now, I don't know if that's on a timer, a coincidence, or if it was never on in the first place, BUT, I figure a fuse blew, and they were both on the same breaker.
OR, the line shorted out because of the dampness in the air. Which apparently is also possible.
Basically, we've had similar problems at work when that kept happening to our outside lights at Hartlen's, and I was instructed to run to the breaker panel and flip the switch on and off whenever it happened in order to clear it all up.
So, pretty much hoping that problem was noticed so I can get power again tonight. Because basically, when it went off (again, around 12:00), I was yelling "FUCK! FUCKKKKKKKKK!!!". Basically, it meant I still had a solid 8 and a half hours left to go, with a laptop battery and a book I could barely read because it was so dark to entertain me. I was running around looking for other plugs in reach from the car. There was one that also didn't work, and another that had stuff already plugged into it, and I didn't feel confident enough in UNPLUGGING it. Basically, I don't want to ruin anything that's directly my fault.
And also, I can't even see how running a laptop would do that, because the power usage is pretty significantly low. So, I figure it must've been something that has either
a) Happened before, or
b) Was going to happen anyway
However, I spent a long time doing the voice commands (Digit dial) on my phone using different voices, to see how well the phone could pick them up.
I also tried saying the number faster and faster to see if it could pick it up.
I called up Nintendo's hotline, just to see what's new on there. Learned some stuff about the DS.
BASICALLY, IF ANYONEEEEEEEEEEEEEE IS BORED OR WAKES UP AT NIGHT OR HAS INSOMNIA OR ALSO WORKS NIGHTS, PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE CALL MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
Like, please. I don't know when I can call people (how late they're up, if they have people sleeping at their houses, if they're currently actually working, etc.) soooooooo likeeeeeeeeeeeee I need people to call me to keep me entertained. So like... don't hesitate. Even if it's like a 5 minute phone call. Srsly

Edit: Two notes:
1) Requiem for a Dream has become my new favourite movie. Every night or so I'll flip through it and watch random parts.
2) Good thing I've smoked enough pot so I can enjoy Tool's weird and crazy styles.
