This weather sucks.
Intense weather today. So much rain. Fortunately, it's supposed to be nice right from tomorrow until Monday.
In other news, the first Blu-Ray player is being shipped on the 25th, retailing at $999.99 US dollars. Pretty much going to be awhile before Blu-Ray (and/or HD-DVD, but my money's on Blu-Ray) is the new "DVD".

Also sucking, is the fact that the US Government is joining the fight on piracy with the major film producers. Whether this will make any difference or not is yet to see (especially after ThePirateBay's (http://thepiratebay.org/) impressive performance, being completely online again within 3 days, despite having all of their servers confiscated.) Now, in response to being cracked down upon, thousands of people have flooded their site with donations of money, servers, and bandwidth. Because of this outpouring of generosity, they're now going to be using servers ALL over the world for the site. In order for the site to go down, you'd have to take down every single server. In addition, because it's many servers and not simply one, the site will be faster. Basically, the MPAA really fucked themselves in the ass on that one.

Bill Gates is stepping down from his position at Microsoft in July 2008. He'll still be the company chairman and be involved/overseeing projects, but won't be directly involved in the same way he was.

Work was solid. Pretty off and on because of the weather, but there's still plenty of crazy people.
The power flickered, shutting down EVERYTHING. Took me about 5 minutes to get it all up and running properly again (the gas machine goes into "All Stop" mode where nothing works, takes awhile before debit/credit stuff will work, etc.)
I even turned the computer back on by myself and got the security cameras going (Laurie and Margie were gone out). I'm pretty much a superhero.
I still have a cut in the center of my palm from when I fell yesterday. It's been annoying the shit out of me all day.
Played more HL2 last night. Might play for an hour or something before bed (I work at 8:00). Pretty much a good game.
