Might as well do this, LEEROYYYYYYYY
Got Putterbrook back today. Ftw. They put a new backing on the monitor (not a new screen, though... apparently it's easy to fix though, the apparent marks. It seems that all computer LCDs have a thin sheet of plastic over them, as an anti-glare, protection deal. They look like they cost 10 bucks tops, I should probably see if Chris can order me one...). Yeah, replaced the back of the monitor, motherboard, and wireless antenna. They're sending a new keyboard as well. LAOL
Originally, we hadn't gotten the keyboard fixed. Dad called them up and gave them ol' hell. They're now sending a keyboard. Awesome.
As for the screen, Chris said you could take Vim, or Comet, or some other sort of slightly abrasive material and smooth out the plastic sheet so it all looks the same (aka, what I want). I'm hesitant to actually do it though... going too far and taking out the LCD monitor would be kinda bad.
I basically have the choice whether I wanna pay like, 160-170 bucks to get an extended warranty (3 years I think), or just go with nothin' on insuring Putterbrook. Basically, in 3 years time, I don't even think she'll be WORTH that much... so maybe I'll just start being more careful with her. Besides, I'll be using my desktop more than anything once I get it, sewwwwwwwww...
Passed in my last DISP chem assignment ever. FTW.
Had the chance to pass in the last math, or wait unti Monday. Since a lot of it was copied (the whole class was going OMG WTF... literally, whole class. Seriously. If anyone really understands McLauren/Taylor series, feel free to explain them to me), I decided it'd be best to take it home over the weekend and try to understand even a little of what the fuck I wrote down... but, then again, it's not on any of the exams. Does this mean I should probably just make it look like it's NOT blindly copied? Yes, yes it does.
Well, tbh, the whole thing wasn't copied... I deifnitely did like, 3/10 myself, and 2 more were probably me looking through the question and following it. Then, panic, time's running out, blindly copy.
UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Gotta touch up my research project for Monday. Andrew did half of it for the rough draft, and I'm gonna try to get him to finish 'er up Saturday night (after his exam). Natalie has it too, but SHE'S NOT ALLOWED TO TOUCH IT OR SHE DIES.
Work at 8:00 tomorrow. Kinda sucks. Oh well.
First exam next Wednesday. Also sucks. A lot. FOUR TOPICS. Earth sci, Calc, Physics, Psych.
Seriously, message me on MSN and demand that I study tomorrow. I need to start NOW, if I want to do okay. Last time was like, a 60% average on exams. They brought my marks down a decent deal. We can't have that.
ALSO, as a parting note:
WHAT SHOULD THE NAME OF MY NEW DESKTOP BE?
It should be something legendary, and catchy. Puterbook/Putterbrook is everyone's favourite. Everyone knows her name, and they ask me how she's doing, etc. etc. We need something similar for my desktop. I thought about Deskertop, but that's far too lame.
AWESOME NAME SUGGESTIONS. GO.
P.S. If anyone's looking to get rid of a computer desk/knows someone who's trying to, contact me. I'm gonna need one soon.
P.P.S. Also got my fixed glasses today. And by fixed glasses, I should say brand new pair of glasses. They're completely replaced, lenses, frames, and all.
I'm pretty much loving my optometry clinic right now.
