I went to see this film last night. Quite the full house for opening night, hopes were high, evidently.
If you like your theological ideas to be combined with a mish-mash of The Matrix and The Exorcist, with everyone speaking excruciatingly slowly, I'm sure you'll really enjoy it.
The only thing I found impressive about it was the fact that some of the scenes really were genuinely disturbing, thanks to some excellent special effects. Then again...do you really want to see scenes that are genuinely disturbing?
The film seemed like it was trying to convey some sort of deep theological message, yet at the same time had to face the fact that it was actually just trying very hard to pad what was really a thin story.
I give it a reluctant thumbs-down.
