Last year Brian and Fantômée bought a house and moved in together. Some people consider moving in together something you do when you get married, but then, there is no rule against living in separate flats when you are married. Or houses. Or countries. No rules at all.
But it seems that if even Brian decides to move in with his wife, his last remaining sibling living on her own decided that she might dare the adventure as well. Or maybe her husband thought that if even Brian can do it, he might have a try, too... Whatever it was, it gave Will another opportunity to do what he loves best: try to find something perfect for something he likes. So when Rigrú and Ladislaus mentioned they might be looking for a house, Will wasted no time in telling them that Wales is beautiful and by the way, there is a nice cottage quite close to his und Alix' home - just a joke of course. But I'm sure he called on some estate agent anyway. Get some suggestions. It's always fun to have a look at those. Even if you don't end up buying one of them.
And they didn't. I'm not quite sure about who discovered it and how exactly, but Rigrú and Ladislaus found themselves a nice house which must have been designed by the same guy who designed the house Brian bought back then when he moved to the Scottish Highlands. Nice old-fashioned house with small tower attached which holds a staircase leading to the first floor and to a small room up in the tower. I'm not sure if the kitchen is in the basement, too, but it makes you wonder if there is a wizard architect out there specializing in this kind of house. And building it in random remote places in the Scottish countryside, too. For that's where it is, Scotland. Argyll and Bute - I'm not sure if that's still Highlands or if it's too far in the south. And if it is not Highlands, what the area is called then. Apart from Argyll and Bute, that is.
Anyway, the house is nice, there is some land coming with it, including a very small part of forest and a not that small lake. There's no Kelpie or similar creature in that lake, as far as everyone knows, but that might change. One never knows. There's also a nice witch in the neighbourhood who knew the previous occupant and knew the owner, so she could get the information to Rigrú and Ladislaus and they could ask about buying the house. After the most important advice was called in, of course. Alix and Ailynn, that is. Yes, Rigrú didn't ask all her sisters to come and have a look at the house, just her twin sister. She's gifted and so is Alix, so when they both confirmed that the house is welcoming, there was no additional opinion needed. Which is a pity - but then, I doubt that my beautiful beloved one would have been asked to give her opinion, so there was no change for us to travel to Scotland and see the place. At least not in it's original state, for now the roof is checked on, Ladislaus spent the first nights there and next week all the family will drop by to de-clutter the place and start renovating. Seems they bought the house "just as it is" with everything in it. Furniture, books, paintings, potion ingredients... whatever it a single wizard might collect in his house during the years. Who knows, maybe the make a great discovery. Or at least some interesting ones. I heard that Edward found some plants worthy of protection. Not a total loss then.
I guess my beautiful beloved one will get an invitation once they are ready.
