So I just saw an article on CBSNews entitled "The Obama-Lincoln Parallel: A Closer Look". Hold on while I puke.in.my.mouth. Are you freaking kidding me? This person has done absolutely nothing of any consequence......yet.....and the media is putting him on par with the person whom they consider to be one if not the greatest President we've ever had? Seriously? Seriously?!?!?? What is wrong with these idiots?? He hasn't even been in office yet so who knows. In the darkest times are the greatest opportunities to shine the brightest, so maybe he will become one of the greatest President's we've had, but just because he's duped a lot of people with his charisma, makes all the gutless left-wingers feel guilty for racial events that happened 200 years ago, and arrogantly proclaims himself by making a freaking train-ride through New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia to DC like Lincoln did doesn't give anyone the right....(or check that, they do have the right to open their mouths and make themselves look like fools since we are a free nation).....or rather the grounds to anoint him like the media has done. If it weren't so stinking sad I'd feel like this was a comedy, or perhaps a satire is more appropriate. Ridiculous. I'm all for giving the guy a chance, in fact I'll admit, after he was elected, I had been cautiously optimistic to see what he could do. And maybe he still will do okay. But this arrogant train ride, together with his $150m inaugural ball, the most expensive ever, and the fact that for all his talk of change he has done nothing to separate himself from the type of politics that is hurting our nation so badly, is rubbing me entirely the wrong way.
