Happy Birthday, good Sir Dave
Though you may not be notified
Of these best wishes, proud and brave...
At least I tried

Dear Keith, your thoughtful words
are very often missed
by me. I joined the herds
who Facebook's name have kissed -

and yet, I kiss it not.
I hope in MSP -
which though we've not yet got
it, someday soon will be.

My thoughts of you are fond,
few heads were e'er so level;
we shared a common bond,
hypocrisy's the Devil.

And now that I've arrived
in Florida to stay,
I see that it has thrived -
the same old Baptist way.

This makes me very sad,
but on this special Day,
to meet you makes me glad,
now not so far away!

:)

Another birthday for you, friend
I hope your year just past went well
And even better ones I send
My own life's changed; there's much to tell

Heavens! I trust it has changed in a level-headed way?

My current creation (co authored with "zaimoni") is approaching launch rapidly; we are adding the shop shortly, which will make the game playable, and are already being given money by eager users-to-be.

If you are interested, here is part of the story:

Following this, the same event eventually put me in a wheelchair, and is eroding my ability to type.

I am so sorry to hear this news (in your post) and also very concerned about any loss of ability to type. You have such a way with words, and so much to say. This is when my enforced solitude (typing only php, CSS, html, JS and AJAX,) comes home, because I have lost touch with so many people I no longer know the circumstances of. And LJ was always a lot better for real talk, at least before everyone went to Facebook ---

Thank you, sir.

I don't use Facebook, actually. But that's okay; it is certainly very common. I have an identity there, established years ago, but my only post has been to notify my Lady's friends of her passing.

I am optimistic; I've been working for five months to get some sort of treatment, and I was informed this evening that it may start next week. $80,000 worth the first week(!), mostly covered by insurance - but I am determined to walk again next year.
