Just found out, One Tree Hill is going to be picked up on the CW channel! YAY!! Well, I've never watched the show, but this means that I can still try and be on it a few dozen times this next season!
Cotton Patch Gospel review:
This show surprised me. I don't know much about the musical to begin with, but I've never been to thrilled about seeing it. Now, since I got involved with doing the lights for it I have to be there at pretty much every performance. But the show is really good. Very southern, but good. It's really got some good humor in it. The absolute best thing about this show is the lights! Seriously, everything is great, but it took a lot to even get these lights barely workable. The Newton-Conover Performance Place does nothing to mantain those stage lights! They're really screwing the Green Room over!
Into the Woods review:
The CAST show of this was amazing! Everyone did so good. That show would easly trump the show my college did. (at least it would if you had a proper set/lights) Many in the show did better than a lot of professional actors would. It was just amazing! I thought the weakest person in the show was JD. I'm not saying this as a mean thing. I think JD is an outstanding actor. It's just that if he was the weakest, everyone else had to be even better than him. You guys need to do that show again with the same cast and a real stage/set!!!
Now for a little Chicken Heart news...
Day 1 (May 6)
I finally got to the location a little late after a short game of bumper cars. (I also had to drop a flower by Jessie's house) Anyway, it was a pretty decent day of shooting. A couple scenes inside involving me getting thrown around and beat up. Then another scene involving myself and the rest of the band chasing the mobsters out of the band rehearsal. During the filming of that scene the cops showed up. They had gotten a call of some people shooting each other. (The mobsters had guns pointing at us while they were leaving) The cop saw the cameras as soon as he drove up. It was funny, but no problems with that.
Day 2 (May 13)
After about an hour delay we finally got started filming. There were about three scenes. All of them were interviews with the band and different band members. It went fairly well. There were some funny improv things added to it. 'Twas good.
Day 3 (May 21)
I felt like I was going to throw up! After lip singing to a song I was supposed to sing my character passed out. Then after a few shots of that came the 'good' stuff. I filled my mouth with sweetend condensed milk then coughed it up when my character came too. That stuff got in my eyes, up my nose, caked up my hair. It was disgusting. Hopefully the shot will look really good! Can't wait to see it!
