Fiddler is over! YAAY!!! *cry* Well, now the whole cast can spend some time getting their voices back. It'd be nice to get some voice back here myself. But we all got through the shows regardless of how raspy or quiet we were. And frequently even with those lost voices the audiences seemed to really like it. I think only one or two nights of the entire run we didn't get a standing ovation. The last show on Sunday I thought went very well. Strike only took a couple hours, which was extremely surprising. I will miss everyone in that cast! Am definitly looking forward to the next show!
And talking about next shows, I auditioned for It's a Wonderful Life at HCT. Well, they offered me the role of Sam Wainwright. I turned it down. I couldn't justify being there for all the performances much less the rehearsals as well for only about a page of dialogue. That would be the only thing I would've done in the entire play! I've got more important things to do with my time.
Coming up the next couple weeks I'll audition for Dearly Departed at the Green Room and Merchant of Venice at HCT. We'll see how those auditions go. Then this week I'm heading up to High Point to audition for the NC Shakespeare Festival's Globeworks. It's an educational Shakespeare thing. They go to classes and schools and do selections from Shakespeare. Basicly to introduce students to the Bard. Any prayers or anything else will be greatly appreciated! Also, I desperatly need some ideas for another shakespearean monologue to do. Something more serious...maybe. Please any ideas would be great!
Then coming up this Saturday my mom's having a Halloween Party thing. Everyone's invited! Invite other people to come as well. It's a costume party (if you don't want to wear a costume, that's fine) with food and stuffs. Bring some food or drink or something. It's Saturday night!
