ATTN: Gareth and Gawain (obviously) -- open to anyone else, as well

Aug 11, 2007 00:59

"Gawain!"

Agravaine is striding through the forest in the direction of the Orkney cottage, trampling twigs and little woodland creatures underfoot. Er, so to speak.

"Gawain, dammit--! Gareth!" He's not exactly subtle when he's angry.

And, um, someone else is upset.

"I understand you're short one vengeful brother," Sagramore says. His sword is ever-present, though usually there's a laughter in his eyes. There's no laughter now.

Agravain stops short, eyeing Sagramore distastefully. "Has everyone heard before me?"

"He's lying on the floor in the middle of the place. It's fairly obvious."

"Not all of us spend every moment hanging around uselessly."

"I need more to do, evidently. That brings me to why I'm here."

Shortly, "Which is what?" --well, boy's not very bright.

"Which is that you have a revenge to exact, and, as I said, you're short a brother."

It takes Agravain a second to clue in. Once he has, he laughs derisively. "You? Sir Pansy? May as well get Percy after all."

"I believe I have more inclination than Peredur, all things considered, and I think you're underestimating me. No, I know you're underestimating me. It's peculiar how often that happens." Hard, hard eyes.

Agravain scowls. "Well, fine. Make it a damn party, then."

"Oh, it will be. You, me, Gawain, Gareth--anyone else?"

"There's that little boy friend of his, doubt he knows how to use a sword, but he might want to join in the fun," Agravain suggests sourly.

"Should be enough to kill one man," somewhat ironically.

"Only if Gareth and the idiot boyfriend don't get in the way. Two to cancel them out, that leaves one to actually do the killing."

"And who will that be? First come, first served?"

"I guess Gawain ought to get first crack," Agravain admits dourly, not noticing any potential snarkiness in Sagramore's tone. "Oldest and all that."
