I remembered last week that my friend Brad and I had agreed to reach our goals in February. He had lap band surgery a while back, and has already lost over 100lbs!! So he wants to be at his ultimate goal, and I'm trying to reach 164, the high end of my healthy weight range. To do this, I have to average just over 2lbs per week. Eep. This is a difficult goal, but I know I can do it if I try really hard. I had a WW leader in Putnam, CT, who lost 100lbs a year, which is just under 2lbs per week. So it's not that far out of the realm of possibility.
So far this week (my WW week starts Friday), I've been really good. It's much easier to stay on program without holiday feeding frenzies to get me off track. I'm actually surprised at how few points I'm using. I was able to have French toast yesterday, and whole wheat pizza tonight. I forgot how relatively easy this WW thing is when you plan.
I told Demetrius about this goal, and he said "OK, we'll start stepping it up." Oh dear. I know he'll push me as hard as I can go without killing me, because he's done it before, and I know I'll be fine, but I'm scared! It'll be completely worth it, though, to give myself my goal for my birthday. Last year, I got under 200lbs a couple weeks before my birthday, and I felt fantastic. I'd love to have that same feeling of accomplishment and pride this year. I'll let you all know how it goes!
