Joyous moments

I was speaking to my best friend yesterday and she made a comment that she hadn't written in her journal for a really long time.
I just realized that I hadn't written since April!

I was thinking of my favorite moments of life.
Some that top my list:

My nephew: "Shwetha, you are lots of fun to play with. I'm going to miss you when you leave."
My nephew and I playing the who's cuter game: "You're really cute. No, you're really really cute. No, you're really really really really (times a million) superman cute." What a lovely child.

Sleeping outside by a lake at camp with a fellow counselor. The day was gorgeous, the night even more beautiful and clear, and lights were glistening atop the surface of the lake from the band playing across the way. I had a heart to heart talk with the other camp counselor about how my cousin had hurt me so much and she felt such sympathy for me. Outside, in the moonlit night, I felt so close to the world that it almost made me cry.

Kissing my first real boyfriend in the dusky fog on the bridge on Douglass campus. We made love with our lips. I felt a tenderness for him that I would never forget.

More to come...
