An assortment of illegal activities.

I really need to go buy school supplies.

Speaking of school:

My linguistics class seems great. I say seems because I have not gone to lecture yet, just lab. But! I hear Dr. Cowles is amazing and since her first name is Wind I am betting we will get along really well. My TA for that class is very cool. She taught English in Poland for a few years. I want to speaking to her in Polish but my vocabulary is limited (things like, how are you, underwear, i love you, and pig are the only words I remember. I wish Buchia had spoke to me in Polish more). I met some great people in that class; Patrice is a nice black girl and Hygin is the most adorable little Asian girl.

My anthro class is pretty awesome. My professor is from Bolivia and his English is "under, how is it said? Construction." I met a nice boy but I can't remember his name. I feel bad about that but I have a hard enough time remembering to answer to Jane (and sometimes Jemena in Arabic class). I am very excited about this class. The TA is named Renzo Duin ("Call me Dewey.") and he is Dutch and a Archeology/Anthro major. He looks a little like Gaston from the Disney (lol, I typed Disnery which is highly fun to say) version of Beauty and the Beast. I love him to pieces.

I have decided to drop Hebrew. I was really nervous after the first class because 98% of the class has been speaking Hebrew since they were um, born? And Professor Dagan isn't going to wait for the remaining four of us to learn it. I tried though. I went home and got out my materials from my class this summer and practiced and practiced but when I got to class, it was hopeless. It's not really a beginners class. I should have dropped it right after I realized Dagan looks just like Umbridge (Umbitch). She looked at me and licked her lips like Jabba the Hut (btw, if you image search for starwars photos, you get a lot of rather inappropriate results). So, I am going to drop it. And in it's place I am either going to take Polish Cinema, Nazism in Film and Literature, intro to interpersonal communication or studies in poetry. I really want to have fun. My favorite classes at PHCC were my film ones and public speaking so...

I really want to take the Polish cinema class.

Arabic is going wonderfully and I love it. It's even worth waking up before the sun to get there. As soon as I am out of Hebrew in a replacement class, I will be much happier.

Moving along...

Chip and Melissa came to visit yesterday and we had SO. MUCH. FUN. I have a vlog of it up on Google. First they woke me up and then we started a day of book shopping. It was like, the best/luckiest day of my life. I have never been so able to find so many Neil Gaiman books (after, what? 4 or 5 stores I had a grand total of 5 or 6 books). I bought Coraline and an old Goosebumps one where "Reader Beware: You Choose the Scare!" We then had black and white floats and played Connect Four at the Sweet Dreams Cafe. We then tried to find this bookstore in Micanopy but we couldn't so we went to dinner at The Swamp. After that we went to the gameroom in the Union. Mel and I played a racing game and then all three of us played pool for an hour. It was hilarious and a lot of fun. Then we went back to my apartment and had frozen hot chocolates and made a vlog. Mel and I violated my lease by painting my door and Chip talked to Kelly on the phone. Then they left.

So I went upstairs and sang Celine Dion. And then I slept.
