Interested in debate? Interested in judging debate? Interested in seeing some of the best debaters in the country compete for a bid to the National Competition?
If so, consider coming to watch the out-rounds of the Clark University Invitational Debate Tournament. Out-rounds should start at about 2:00 PM, and finals should be done by about 5:00 PM, Saturday, April 1st in Jefferson 320.
Teams from Bowdoin, Skidmore, BU, Tufts, Providence College, Yale, Wesleyan, MIT, Brandeis and Harvard among others are expected to come, while Clark students will judge. We encourage those with an interest in critical thinking, public speaking and persuasive dialogue to observe. If you feel interested enough to be a judge, we would love for you to come to the judge training session at 9:00 PM tonight on the third floor of the UC. Judging perks include three free meals (Fantastic's!), meeting and interacting with students from other schools, as well as some special surprises not fit to be revealed in a livejournal post!
Interested? Have any questions? Want to know more? Email me, Susan, at ssharp at clarku etc.., or feel free to stop by the meeting tonight!
