Oh this story was perfect, it really was! This is going to be one of my favourite pairings from now on, seriously!

You got both characters rather well and Ray does have a masochistic tendency somewhere. Mike's stoic staring, hee, loved that. I love that man's eyes, they are intense and so incredibly expressive.
Loved the way you showed Sadie and how they eventually got over the whole cop thing with her dad through Ray's help. Of course they're nowhere near okay yet, but they're going to be or at least I like to think so. =)
I also loved the details, like Ray's drinking his coffee with smarties or the old beat up bag from his trip with Fraser.
It's weird to think of Fraser as being married with Vecchio. Somehow Callum ruined Vecchio for me, cause he's the only Ray for me, even though I liked the Italian guy with his funny ways and big nose. Poor Stella though...First Vecchio and then Ray turning gay? Not the best thing to boost a woman's ego for sure! ;-PPP
The ending was perfect btw! The imagery with the heavy bag being off his shoulders...loved it! =)

More? Please? And possibly Mike/Ray/Benton in one room? ;-PPP

Yay! I'm so glad to hear you liked it, thank you! I'm glad the voices worked for you. I really love Sadie, it was fun to have her make an appearance :)

Well, I'm definitely a Vecchio girl (my due South OTP is Kowalski/Vecchio) and I totally think Mike and Vecchio would get along. They would talk about sports!

And I'm glad the bag imagery worked--I was hoping that came through and I'm very glad that it did!

There will definitely be more, la, I am a wee bit obsessed.
