I tried to make it not sad, and actually in any way hot, but I couldn't. This is the only way I could think of in which Erik would ever lay a hand on Scott; if he needed to destroy something utterly in order to move on with things. Artaxastra made a mention when she beta'd that this was very Ultimate-Magneto, and I agreed, but I thought that maybe at this period in his life, he's being a bit rash. He has to make it so he can't go home again, so to speak, and...well, yeah. I felt really bad for Scott that I did this to him. O_o
I'm just relieved you liked it. I've been refreshing my gmail for like twenty three minutes in anticpation to make sure that you liked it. :)
The Brotherhood may be a family eventually--maybe it'll be Erik's way of trying to regain what he lost, as time will bring some sort of wisdom (until X3, when he's inhabited by the ghost of Cobra Commader, apparently--or whatever cartoon villain works you want to use here), so maybe there's hope for Pyro yet. Who knows.
