Tired
"Tired" is a very tired word to use for my subject line but as I look back on the last year, I don't think there's a single day on which it would not be an appropriate descriptor of my general state, except perhaps for a couple of days during our last visit to Seattle when my mom took Ciaran overnight.
It's funny how used-to yet unused-to I get to sleep deprivation. I almost don't remember what it's like to be really awake...and yet I never stop wishing that I were!
This cold has really taken it out of me, though, and I'm just bone-tired. I could probably lie down on the floor right now and fall asleep. Yes, I've taken C, zinc, and echinacea (and my mom's Juice Plus) but while it's not turned into as severe a cold as it might without them, they aren't exactly an energy boost, especially not with a wakeful toddler in the night.
I dream, sometimes of a full night's sleep when I could go to bed when I liked and not be woken up until I wanted to wake up in the morning. THAT would be my idea of sheer heaven at the moment!
