So.....hot......

It has reached the point where I have had hide in the shade under towels wrung out in cold water and sit in front of two fans to stay cool. Not cold, never cold, just cool. What's freaky is just how fast those things dry out thanks to the heat. The bonus is I have that shivery, just came out of a pool on a hot day feel for free.
Franky, the plant consisting out several herbs stuffed in a fancy pot, has died except for the oregano. I named him Frankenstein because some smart marketer pieces him together from various herbs, counting on gullable cheapskates like myself to think "Oo, five herbs in one!" and not "Oo, that won't like long with all those roots crammed in there". I also blame my black thumbs, but I have been watering and I think the heat has sped up the death process. Except for the oregano---the most useful plant of all. I would have disposed of him except one tender, celestial green shoot has shot up into the centre (It's alive! It's ALIVE!). *I* have made life. I may have only facilitated it, and that by providing his basic needs (water, light), it may have come as the result of a death match between five herbs (I would have bet on the mint, but who knew?), but it's so beautiful, *sniff*.
I like role playing games. I got tired of Mario and the like back when I was in junior high because it was so linear. I like this choose your own adventure stuff, wandering around talking to random villagers. Yesterday my characters got turned into cats so I had them run all over the ship and talk to the animals. Chrono Cross and Chrono Trigger have this thing about have lots of cats, and they all mew when you talk to them. I wish I could always be a cat, though granted I would get killed easily in the fights.
Ugh, I was sick of the rain and clouds before, and now I wish they would come back just to cool things down. It's even this hot in the Valley and Musquodoboit--- there are no clouds in the whole province. I turned on the CBC radar and all I get in a vague twinkle for clouds. We have two new fans we got yesterday, so things are a bit better. For now.
