compromises
I feel like I am sitting on a big pile of Drama Tokens and I don't know what to spend them on. I can't really use them to clean up the house - which is a big source of frustration right now.
The garage/basement have developed into what Joshua calls a lawnmower problem - a seemingly simple problem with a bunch of lead-ups that need to be done first.
There's a ladder in the garage I borrowed. To return it, I'd like to put more tar on the roof and hammer down some roofing nails. Then I need help loading it up and my friend to be home to unload it as well.
There are beer bottles and homebrew all over the garage. I'd like to put them in the basement, but the basement needs another coat of sealant before I can assemble the shelf to put the beer on. Last time I went to do the sealant, I couldn't find the paintbrush anywhere. (It turned out to be in the garage under a pile of clutter.)
To really finish putting away the beer, I have to bottle some old batches... which requires getting at the bottles in the garage...
And so on. They're all intertwined, there's no extra space to store stuff from one job temporarily. It is frustrating.
I think with one weekend to myself I could make enough of a dent to get things moving again. But free weekends have been absolutely gone lately.
