Goblin started meowing at 3:30 AM. He kept it up for about an hour; then Eve started. Goblin seemed to want to make sure we were there; then he just seemed hungry or cranky. Eve was singing to fuzzies and left about 5 of them outside our door. I am a little groggy today as a result.
Over the weekend we saw Amanda Palmer in Chicago. The show was on Neil Gaiman's birthday so the whole audience sang happy birthday to him, too. It was a pretty amazing show - she performed for almost two hours and was intense. I liked a couple of her songs pretty well before, but the album gave me a new appreciation for a lot of her stuff. Jill and Sarah were entranced.
We also got Chicago sushi (yum) and I went to an Ikea for the first time. I was impressed by the model of efficiency that it presented.
I also finished the Alloy of Law by Brandon Sanderson, which I thought was awesome. Basically, metalbending gunfights? Awesome stuff. I burned through it in just a couple days, which was also fun to do. Brandon Sanderson writes great books that are just fun to read, which is what I was looking for just now.
