Been doing a lot of SCIENCE lately. No, not engineering horrible frog-human hybrids, ripping holes through dimensions, or unleashing giant robots. The other part of science - writing up papers, researching every aspect of your project, and saying a little bit about your own results.
The nature of the work actually is not bad, but it's just as well that I hadn't worked on it much before. My PI changed the nature of the assignment fairly extensively so I was glad that I hadn't actually done that. It's coming together now, and I think this version will be stronger. I just wish it was some other time - I'm sort of burned out from the last few weeks, anyways, and cobbling together a massive report doesn't really make for a good start to spring break. Of course, if it wasn't spring break I have no idea how it would be getting done so I'm kind of complaining in general.
In any case, it will be done by next week. And (something else I need to work on) so will my presentation for Dr. Cameron's class. With those done, a lot of my stress will just - disappear. I will still have a handful of exams, but I'll be done with accountable results in lab, reading papers every week, and most of the grad school business. I will still have a History research paper, Physiology, and .. Viking Mythology..
Pretty much taking a short break here before I get to the SCIENCE of the less dramatic kind.
