I feel much better after having some pasta and fruit juice following my arsewater induced fast. Slept for a good 4 hours too. gotta be up at 6am, but i think come 10pm tonight ill goin visit my good friend Harry Lime.

What was the tower actually used for Jim? gees you really get a sense of its size with the truck at the foot.

It was one of six anti aircraft fortresses built on Hitler demand around Vienna. Each set of towers had a firing tower (G) and a guidance tower (L) this is the G Tower in Augarten, the LTower being on the far side of the park. Theres 4 others in Vienna all plonked amidst city streets, one nis used as an art gallery, another as an Aquarium. The others all disused.

Berlin had nine of them, but six were demolished, the others converted to apartment buildings.

The walls at the base are 4m thick and the concrete reportedly took 16 years to fully set.
