Took the Torana for a drive down the Hawthorne Canal last week. Years back Mr India, Beanz and I went all the way (from the entry point in Haberfield) to Croydon, before realising there was no way to turn around, so Bob had to reverse the Kingswood for 4kms. This time i was stopped by a fallen tree. Got a photo by Hatchets Drain tho. I overexposed ( Read more... )

it's still a cool photo - with the car. Is it actually legal to drive your car in the canal (I don't see why not, but I suppose there could be some obscure by-law)? And look at all that graffiti - such senseless vandalism. tsk tsk.

Hmm, i doubt its legal. The gate is chained, but, lol, you just lift the chain over the pole its tied around. Its been like that for years now.

If its not illegal, then theres definately a speed limit!

Me 'n Dsankt 'n Dirge 'n a few others were talking about the car in the Hawthorne canal story just a couple days ago. In fact, I suspect it was the same day you wrote this post. :)

Fantastic. Level 2 was full of ore chambers that were blasted out. It was different from Level 3, which was just the tunnels used to haul the Level 2 ore out. Just about everyone had an incident in which they almost died. :)
