Dad fed it drip saline from the hospital (after failing to find enough flesh to comfortably inject) n it seems to be perking up.

Poor Kitty! If his mother was a feral, you would not have a placid kitten. I have given a home to feral kittens before and they growl at you for a while. (weeks)
I hope it works out for him. He should be a loyal pet after such a horrendous start.
