Get Into The Big Day Out For Free / Cave Clan's 21st Anniversary
Its the 7th year we've successfully avoided paying for the Big Day Out in Sydney... All thanks to DRAYYYYNES (not big ones tho).
I reccied the tunnel the day before to ensure we wouldnt be wasting our time, then at midday on the day met up with 10 keen scabs, none willing to pay $120 for what has to be the shittiest lineup the BDO has ever seen.
We scooted 800m up the 5ft rcp (that becomes 3ft towards the end) and emerged triumphant amidst a throng of over 5000 spectators, about 500 of whom started cheering and helping us climb out of the ground. It was the largest crowd response id ever seen in the 5 years ive done GITBOFF and my hand was sore from all the high fives i ended up giving to random strangers.
Like i said. Shit line up. I went n saw Peaches. She's evolved to having a live band and 'Fuck The Pain Away' didnt sound as good with real drums. Her show was less varied than those id seen before but she nevertheless wriggle-stripped her way thru 7 pairs of undies, 3 bra's and 2 pairs of boots. The Streets were ok.
Trioxide and Fishie showed up at 8pm and proof that the cat's out of the bag, had nearly 15 strangers in tow. Yes, it would seem its not only Cave Clan who have found a way in to the BDO thru drains.
Tool were better in 1995, i only saw 15 minutes of The Presets and Crystal Method were ok.
Like i said, glad i didnt pay.
Got a lift home, lieing in the boot of Fishies Commodore which was ok till he started doing burnouts and taking speedhumps at 120kph.

Worked, worked, worked, the next day, including doing an 8 hour shift till 10:30pm, going to Tyr's Australia Day party till 1am, then sleeping in the car across the river from the Airport till 6am, then doing another 5 hours.
Met up with Ogre, Onyx n Tyr, then set up the White Room at the Middle Head Bunkers for the Cave Clan Short Film Festival, a part of the CC's 21st year drainobrations. Goood laughs from most of the entries and hopefully it inspired Trioxide to do something with the 80 hours of video footage he got with that $4000 DVCam he bought a few years back.

Today i ran a Strays Challenge Expo. Lol, more like an Old Yins Expo. I was the youngest bastard there by about 10 years. The water was cold and murky and about belly-button deep on me, the walls of the pit were covered in the shed skins of Dragonflies. We hit up the far end of the tunnel and on our way back ran into Stray himself, (the benefactor come to collect?). At this point i was the only person at the expo under 30 and only the second under 40.
Did two drains in Merrylands and managed to avoid the local smackheads.
Coalcliff Drain. The Big Slide. Predator's Rope was still there after 7 years.
