Bixby Canyon Bridge
Oh, God, it's been over a month. I'm the only one who reads this anyway, but I wanted to update once a week this year.
Work's been fun. There's a couple of rather creepy customers who have taken a liking to me. Part of the fun of working in a wine shop is the mix of people you see every day, and in particular in my shop the amount of regulars, but that's not so fun when you have the same over-familiar men coming in every day to buy a can of super-strength lager and stare at your tits.
I really cannot wait to leave for university.
Randy has been here this week. He is the friend of a relative of one of my mum's friends. Or something. Anyway, he's staying with us for a week from Rhode Island, and it's been really awesome. I've been doing a lot of touristy things. We went to Brighton and went on the rides on the pier, and went through the Lanes, and went to Charles Street, quite possibly my favourite bar in Brighton. It's a great way to re-appreciate where you live when you show it off to someone else. I've also done a lot of karaoke and a lot of laughing. I've had a great weekend!
I have another hospital appointment tomorrow. Hooray. I had a week-long monitor fitted last week, but the batteries ran out after 3 days, and I was having an allergic reaction or something to the glue they used. Good stuff. I'll probably just have to have it fitted again. I have to take a treadmill test tomorrow too. Eeek. On the upside, the technician that I see is really adorable!
I'm slightly annoyed, I've gained a hell of a lot of weight recently. It's all on comfort food though. I'd love it if people would just leave me out of their bullshit. I think it's died down now though, and as a result I don't go around with a dying urge to just sit in bed in my pyjamas eating pie and crying inexplicably anymore. Which I think is a step forward!
I had one of those moments today where I realised that life isn't as bad as I sometimes build it up to be. I was at work with this guy I really like working with, sitting on a pile of wine boxes, watching the sunset out of the window and eating an ice lolly.
Summary: Stuff is good. =)
