So! It's been like two or three weeks since I last wrote to you all.
I went on holiday last week, to stay on a narrowboat in the midlands. Myself and 4 friends travelled along the
Llangollen Canal from Nantwich (in England) to Llangollen (in Wales), a journey which by car takes fifty-eight minutes and by boat took us three-and-a-half days. We stopped in a lot of nice villages and locals, learned how to operate canal locks in hailstorms, and spent more on wine and beer than on food, boat upkeep and fuel combined. I fell in once and fell over twice, and personally crashed and/or grounded the boat 4 times. The scenery was beautiful all the way there and back, especially on the
Aqueduct. I had a lot of fun!
Oh also, I quit my job. I handed my notice in last week, so my official last day will be the 18th of April. I'm trying to be excited about it, I know it's what's best for me, I just feel a little bit silly about it. I've got some promising offers around though, so I should be okay with finding something else.
I have my Plumpton interview/open day thing tomorrow. I'm not too worried about it, although I'm sure it's just lurking in the back of my head until I get there. I know I know enough to get on the course. I'm sure I'll be just fine. Fingers crossed!
