sheesh!
i've been so so so bad about updating my livejournal lately! apologies, friends! well, here's what i've been up to lately...
i've been working so hard trying to finish up the first draft of my next book. i think i have a new title....Easy Does It. do you like it? i'm still not sure i love love love it, but so far, it's the best i've been able to come up with. right now, i'm a little more than half-way finished. still have most of act 2 and all of act 3 to write. the writing ain't pretty, but i keep telling myself there will be time later to go back and make the words sing. so i press on! i really want to hand a draft to my trusted reader friends by july 1. that's my goal, anyway. let's hope i can make it!
i just came back from a week split between maine and brooklyn. nick and i rented a car, and it had SATELLITE RADIO! gosh, i love satellite radio. we listened to mostly the 80's and 90's channels. i was getting total flashbacks about boys i used to make out with, lies i'd told my parents, weird and crazy things i used to do with my BFF. seriously, it was an audio time machine.
now that i am back in Ohio, nick and i are looking for apartments in pittsburgh. i'm telling you, nothing stinks more than having to move twice in the same year. i hate moving. i hate boxes and packing tape and renting vans and all that stuff. hopefully we will stay settled in pittsburgh for a long while and i can just get cozy and hang art up on the walls and make a place feel like home for a while.
