a girl with too many homes
so, i'm back in NYC! yay! it's been a great first few days, with two book parties, three readings and lots and lots of friendship!
the only down side is that i am jumping from empty apartment to empty apartment. don't get me wrong. it is lovely to have quiet spaces to crash in, where i don't feel as if i am in other people's way. and it just so happens that all of my friends have FABULOUS apartments. like, right now, i am lying on a purple velvet chaise lounge, in front of a dark navy wall, surrounded by stacks and stacks of books. HEAVEN!
it's more about carrying all my stuff around. three weeks is a long time to be away from one's closet, and i am a terrible packer anyhow so i seriously have about six pairs of shoes with me, two suitcases full of clothes, and a huge bag of toiletries/hairdryer/flat iron/curling iron, and also books, papers, laptop, blah blah blah.
but whatever. i'm meeting with morgan to write today, dinner with rachel...a nice packed schedule full of fun NYC stuff. so it's all good.
you know what else is all good?!?! BELATED BIRTHDAY PRESENTS! check these bad boys out!
this sweet little mug came from my friends andy and christy. they buy the BEST presents....usually from craft fairs or etsy-ish places. they also got me this rad little notebook.
and then my friends john and danielle got me some super sweet stationery for my typewriter. i love SUKI. she makes the most cutesieypie stuff. it's a box full of her papers. look at how pretty this one is!
