While I cannot vote for you because of your views, I want you to know that I respect you as a person. When your own party booed you because you wouldn't turn attack dog on your opponent; when you looked surly reading scripted attacks.. I cannot help but admire your guts. This is what honor means. Talking about being a "maverick" doesn't do anything for me, but your actions this week really have. You were really presidential, and I thank you for that.

I can say with perfect honesty that I wish you luck in your campaign. You're a worthy opponent and a good man.
