Hmmmm, food!

So this last weekend we went down to Augusta, GA to see our 8 yr old nephew take his black belt test in Tae Kwon Do.  Charlotte loved it,  so much that  I had to have a stern discussion that yes her elbow was strong but that she can not break boards with it.  She also kept referring to it as Tai Chi or Kung Fu, much to Andrew's dismay.

The test was quite long since there were a total of 7 people testing for various levels of black belts, and after 1 1/2 hrs of keeping K still, and 1 1/2 hrs of her sleeping on me I was ready for it to be done.  After all the ceremonies were complete the master announced that his wife had just arrived with food and he hoped we would all stay.  WoooHooo!

Out came these huge boxes from the Wifesaver (don't know if it is a restaurant or what, but I loved the name) and when they took off the lids there was a bounty of fried chicken, cole slaw, buttery biscuits, mac and cheese, and banana pudding for dessert.  Ice Tea and Coke to drink.  All very good, and there we sat with hyper children of all ages (and belt levels) running around squealing, and fighting, soft southern accents from the adults, munching way past the point of full.  (At least I did, my 3rd plate was more mac and cheese, cole slaw, and pudding)
