"What" and "If" are two words that are non-threatening as words can be. But put them together side by side, and they have the power to haunt you all your life.
What if? WHAT if? What IF?
I don't know how your story ended, but if what you felt then was true love, then it's never too late.
If it was true then, why wouldn't it be true now?
You need only the courage to follow your heart. I don't know what a love like Juliet's feels like, a love to leave one's loved ones for, a love to cross oceans for. But I'd like to believe that if I ever were to feel it, I would have the courage to seize it.
And Claire, if you didn't, I hope one day that you will.
All my love,
Juliet.

What wonderfully appropriate and yet ironically beautiful expressions of the many 'what ifs' and 'if only' in our lives -- because each one of us would have our fair share of "what if" and "if only".
This movie is beautiful because it speaks volume of what love is (and is not), the heartache and sweetness of love lost and love found. Watching such movies always make me very touched and warm from within, yet in that warmth there is also an inexplicable sadness to it. Maybe the sadness stems from the fact that this only exists in the reel life.
Nevertheless, still a good movie, and good food for thought.
If you were to ever feel such love, like Juliet's, would you have the courage to seize it? :)
