Limping along...
Well, an entire day has gone by without my computer dying again. I DO hope that my loan check shows up soon, though; I wanna mothball this soon-to-be-doorstop ASAP.
I am considering inviting another friend of mine, Caramida, to the Shadowrun game, except that I don't think he'll have the time to play. He's living in a triple-booked life right now. He reads this (at least, he could read it, if he wanted), so what d'ya say, Brick? Can you spare some time on alternating Saturdays to come over to the House De Menthe in Fremont for some Shadowrun?
Barring any significant issues over the next two years of school, I have decided to shoot for getting my PhD in Japanese History, and teaching at a University when I'm through. Although, as a sideline, I am giving some serious thought to writing a series of history texts, most likely aimed at younger audiences, tenatively titled The Chrononaut's Guide to (insert historical era/location here). Of course, any of my initial delvings into this project would be about Japan throughout the ages, but I'm hoping to accumulate enough 'general' history knowledge that I can get into other places, other times. Could be a big thing, if I do it right.
