Code Geass R2 04

GEASS, THIS IS WHY I LOVE YOU. ♥♥

It's episodes like this that remind me why I love this series so much (as if I didn't already). Just. asdfklhgldsfa *flails*

The emotional material in this episode was insane. While I do kind of pity Rolo as Lelouch's very-easily-manipulated-pawn-who-will-prolly-get-killed-by-said-dark-prince, I don't like him anymore than I did previously. In fact, it's quite amusing interesting watching Lelouch play on his emotional insecurities. Uke manipulation, Y/Y? Either way, Lulu's officially psychotic and Rolo's... well... eating from the palm of his hand. Rolo-Lulu interaction has great potential now and I look forward to it. :D

Lulu has promise for being a 1st class stalker/pedo. "Your future is... with me." "The time I spent with you wasn't a lie." Come to the Zero-side, we whisper sweet nothings in your ear? It felt like I was watching shoujo gone wrong, no, more shoujo taking a man-with-the-candy-and-a-car venue. Disturbing but entertaining to say the least. At first I thought Lulu was being sincere in his speeches which freaked the hell outta me. It took me 1.0723 seconds to realize he was acting and I was like "YES." He's hit several birds with one stone. Uke fanboy now totally dependent of him, being ahead of Britannia again, a bitch-ass new frame. (OMG, Rolo vs. Suzaku? Would-be lover vs. former lover? "You will not harm my nii-san!" "HE KILLED EUHPIE!!" That. Would. Be. EPIC!! \0/)

We got more esquestrian!! Of the uke fanboy variety!

I demand generous amount of Ougi/Villetta in later episodes. I SAW YOUR RELIEVED EXPRESSION WHEN OUGI WAS SAVED. DON'T YOU DARE DENY IT. You're not a total heartless bitch, I can respect you a bit more now.

Uh, yeah. The emotional content.

It kind of sucks that Code Geass is no longer aired during late night. This means off-screen killings and no Kallen fanservice. I'm starting to feel the change. :( There's not nearly as much CC as there should be but her trying to load a gun and failing was an adorable sight to behold. x3

So either Guilford is out of the loop or Cornelia is alive and kickin' somewhere on the globe. And my ability to take the elite soldiers seriously is nose-diving. Tea time. Really. What's next, crumpets and cricket? And Dalton's son? Kawaii desu ne~ That "must avenge father" stuff is the cutest, made better when Lulu geasses him.

I love what I'm seeing of Xing Ke. This darker, more calculating aspect of him is pure love. *0* The fact that he's a bishounen helps too. In fact, if he becomes more of a manipulative bastard, that would be cool. He would be an interesting obstacle (I'm quite sure he'll be getting in the way at some point) for Lelouch since he possesses the same level intellect. Aha, I loved Guilford's frustrated expression when he told his men to pull back. xD

The liberation of the Black Knights, I think this is the first time he's done something on his own like that. I was impressed. He's not much of a fighter (I paled, thinking of him Knightmare fighting with Guilford, he would have been SCREWED) but man, he really does make use of everything available to him. Although the shield-surfing was a bit... much. (Sunrise, but down that LotR book.)

Then of course we have the heart-warming reunion. Tamaki's victory dance... wasn't really a dance. In fact, he can't dance at all. :S Seeing Todou and the others safe... makes me sad since it calls to mind Urabe. ;_;

AND SUZAKU IS BACK AT ASHFORD. MY GOD NO! And not just him but Vino and Anya. [And suddenly Code Geass takes a temporary turn for high-school toki meki dramas. It was inevitable.]

It should be loads of fun to watch Lulu lead Suzaku around, provided he can act all things friendly and innocent around his former friend. Then there's also the matter of Suzaku keeping his disgust to himself. Then throw Rolo in with his loyalty to Lulu and it's just a recipe for sucess. More good times are a-coming. *kicks back and relaxes* So far, this is the best R2 episode.
