It´s been a long time past, but for all those who don´t know yet, I was deported from Israel.

Michael and I went to Israel with the intention of working in Palestine for a year, I was supposed to be teaching and michael doing media and social work. We flew to Israel in October as planned, but were denied entry at the airport, detained for many hours without food or water, interrogated, jailed, and eventually deported at our cost the next day.

For all of those who knew about our plan, you know that we´ve spent the past year of our lives planning this trip and it meant a lot to us. We´re still dealing with the reality of our deportation, and we´re both a bit heartbroken.

Anyway, we found ourselves with no jobs, no place to live (remember we thought we would be gone for a year) and some money saved up. So we got the cheapest ticket we could find, Ecuador in South America, and left three weeks later after spending some time licking our wounds and getting hugs from friends.

I guess I should say that i had never previously left the country, have no police record of any kind, and basically I feel that i was deported unjustly, but i guess it doesn´t really matter.

Michael and I are no in peru and are having an amazing time every day. It wasn´t my plan but here we are. I just wanted to let inquiring minds know what happened, though I´m sure most of you heard the story months ago.
