When reflecting upon my days of constant study and training to be a Maester, I will say that the hard work I went through to get to the point I am now is truely a reward. We toil in the streets and fields to feed ourselves, and it is the work we go into getting that norishment that makes it even more satisfying. We all wish that things would come easier to us, but if they did would we appreciate them as greatly as we do by working hard to gain them? I am not saying that the suffering of others is needed to appreciate what we have, but I think it is the challenges we face that makes what we gain more precious to us.
I do appreciate the new faces I am seeing in the church. Please continue to stop by whenever you feel the need to talk. As I have said before, I am here to counsel and ease the tension of your days. Religious or not, there is always time in my day to help where it is needed.
Also I am now keeping a young girl named Eiko tightly under my arm. She is a precious gift sent to me from Yevon. I will take care of her and make sure she is given all that I can afford to give to her.
What a busy week I have had. One of my greatest treasures now being my little darling Eiko. Not only is she adorable and entertaining, but makes a wonderful alibi for my nightly destruction. Who would dare to question my intentions now?
Speaking of, I have now met a true worshiper of SIN.
We finally worked together and I saw how great her powers truely are. Though without my strong knowledge of the ancient texts I doubt her magic could have worked so well. I hope to work with her again in the future. I will also cherish the gift she gave me.
