characters who make each other sourly and bleakly unhappy (I don't mind fighting, but I prefer a happier ending)
oh, j. oh. that's all-- except, someone came up with the best sex pollen story ever, about how if patrick got all sexy pheremone-y, and everyone totally fell in love with him and acted creepy EXCEPT PETE BECAUSE PETE WAS ALREADY SO THERE.
ps: want to be an interviewee re: queer online for a thesis? *G*
oh, the compulsion story. I heart that one too, but like. I think I was imagining the opposite of this-- like, everyone is wanting to touch patrick all creepy and loving, and Pete's just the same old because he's already so in love with patrick, already *wants* him so hard, that he's used to it by now. so he doesn't have to touch him, at least any more than he needed to for the last six years of their lives. joe and andy wisely don't say anything, because it's better to have to share patrick's newfound hawtness and glowing demeanor with Pete - who's always wrapped up in Patrick's lap or laying on him, or wound up so tightly he's nearly *underneath* Patrick's clothes--
anyway. it's better to share Patrick, even with crazy pheremonic love, than imagine talking to Pete through notes passed under his bedroom door.
