I honestly can't decide if this is more "wow, she's freakin' *been* on that bus or something, how'd she do that" or "ewwww! Make these boys take showers, like, instantly," or, "that's kind of hot, but also kind of disgusting". It's so vivid, J. But wow, do I *want* that kind of intimacy with BERT MCCRACKEN?
So you rule the awesome writing school, and also have a place of honor in the school of showing the world how gross band guys really are.

Okay, I'm definitely laughing, because I decided that I needed to share a little of my experiences living around hardcore scenesters. The boys are seriously, seriously dirty, especially. I love that it was vivid and a little too much for you, if I'm being honest; I kind of feel that way about Bert in general, like he's just this side of too much for most people. (Steven from Steven's Untitled Rock Show has had a couple of moments where he looks like he's inches away from punching Bert, and the guy interviews rock musicians for a living.)

And you are way, way too nice to me. Have I mentioned that I loved your story? Seriously? SAME MAIN FANDOM OMG YAYFACE.

I WANT A HOSE. But, I really enjoy reading stuff that's like that. Boundaries are fun places for me, long as I don't have to actually touch the boys myself.

oh, i really liked this. how dirty it was, how guy it was, how surprised quinn was at how much he liked bert's fingers... and i love their semi-plausible deniability of being asleep, or not, and what else might happen.

(i really, actually, have almost no idea who these boys are other than having seen them in other, like, MCR fic. but i very much enjoyed this all the same. also: hot.)

I'm glad you liked how guy it is; that's actually something I was sort of getting at, in my head. Music guys are kind of dirty, in my experience, and the Used are a band that are generally proud of their dirtiness.

Thank you for reading and commenting on the story in spite of not knowing who the heck they are. (I had to teach myself some canon for them, actually, because I too hadn't really seen them outside of MCR fic.)

!!!!!!!! That's really all I have right now, dude. Lots of exclamation points because you wrote Bert/Quinn. What a wonderful thing to come home from work and see posted.

I really enjoy how vivid it is, how this doesn't gloss over how gross things get on tour and how unconcerned with the filth they are for the most part. I love the way Bert likes to feel out how things and people work but doesn't have any sort of rhythm, and I think the way he swings from obnoxious and foul-mouthed to quiet and kind of sweet in the way he maps Quinn feels so right.

This is awesome! See, this is what I've been trying to tell people. Bert/Quinn -- they're a good idea! :D

I'm all obsessed with them, now. They're so wretch together in interviews! I can't even deal.

Wow, I love this. I've been moaning for aaaaaages that there's no good Bert/Quinn fic around and I'm so happy that's no longer true :D

You picked out the line that I wrote the story to put in, actually. It still feels a little piecemeal to me; I want to write something longer about the two of them, but this was already like pulling teeth. They're a really difficult couple to write. Not that there aren't rewards, because seriously: Bert. And Quinn. NNNRRRGH is right. :D
