Yarrrr...

So I've been terrible about commenting or replying to things on here lately. I usually do read, I've just been totally stressed lately.

First, we took our car for maintenance and found out it needed like $4k of work and it was basically not safe to drive. (We got 2 opinions.). Soo. After much struggle and lamentation, we traded it in and got a minivan that's newer with slightly less mileage. We got a decent amount on trade in, which partly went to down payment and part is going to pay our ever-increasing bills for Emy's Kennedy Krieger stuff and her needed dental work.

Kennedy Krieger- as expensive as it is, having Emy involved there has been fantastic. We've already gotten so many tools to help her. She's got a developmental pediatrician, an amazing behavioral psychologist, and she's on the list for OT and an autism-specific preschool program. Even though I would have to drive her to it (and its not close), I desperately hope she gets into the preschool. It's what her two-year old program was modeled after, and her progress there was nothing short of astounding. We're seeing about getting Max in with them too for an early detection/intervention study, since once you have a child on the spectrum, the chance of having another is 1 in 5.

Max- has a really tight lip and tongue tie. Her latch is awful. We consulted with an IBCLC who strongly believes that the only reason she is getting milk is because Emily is still nursing. So, thank goodness I stuck it through with the hellish early days of tandem nursing! We are having them clipped Monday and I am really hoping things turn around quickly but I am really nervous that she'll lose her latch. We've been supplementing a bit here and there with pumped milk and she seems to HATE bottles. So we'll see how it goes.

Joshua is in an advanced leadership school that he needs to get promoted. Basically from what I can tell- to be a good leader you have to put your family dead last. -__- this school is stupid.

There are other things I'm sure but I *think* both my boogers are asleep so I must get ready to do the same!
