Dear livejournal,
I know I have been neglecting you. I'd promise to try and do better, but... well I know I won't. :P
In random news, an old friend FB messaged me today to tell me that one of my old neighborhoods in NYC has like... SUPER blown up. I'm not terribly surprised, because, well, that's gentrification for you, but it's kind of amusing when I think about the crotchety lady upstairs who liked to blast BAAAAAD gospel music top volume at 6am every day getting kicked out.
That apartment was kind of cool, though. You know the Susanne Vega song Tom's Diner? the one that goes doot doot do do, doot doo doo, doot do do do do da doo do... well, maybe not from my doots, but you know it, I promise. Anyway, Tom's Diner was down the street and round the corner. They have yummy pancakes.
Anyway. ma babah is waking up. Time to go feed her and then we're headed to the post office! :D
