Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks are coming to Tucson! On January 9th I will be sneaking into Plush to drink Coronas and watch Stephen Malkmus (and Janet Weiss from Sleater-Kinney) tear it up. I'm not sure if they're going to Phoenix, but if they are I'll probably be there, too

I'm sorry if I gave you the impression I was angry, because I wasn't. It sounds like you are, though -- you're the one stating "you have no fuckign right" -- so let me clarify. I knew you understood what "Friends Only" meant. But I was perplexed -- and remain so -- by the fact that you were surprised that someone you didn't know had discovered your entry and commented on it. It happens to me fairly regularly. Sometimes I wish it didn't, but I recognize that it's the price I pay for having public entries. At any rate, what I was trying to convey to you with that "lesson learned" comment was that you need to make your entries "Friends Only" to avoid turning up in search engines, which is, after all, how I found you in the first place. I should also mention, in case you didn't know this, that your Live Journal isn't really your site. By consenting to the terms of service, you lose some of the legal protections you would have if your blog really were on your own, self-hosted site. Once again, I'll wish you the best of luck. It seems odd and a little depressing that the discovery of someone with a shared interest here in Arizona -- I, like you, am a big Pavement fan -- has turned into whatever this has turned into.
