(no subject)
Weekend was pretty good. I got a little down-time, some socializing, some cleaning, and some sun. All of which I desperately needed.
Friday night I went to happy hour with a girl from work, and the guy she wanted to hook me up with. I stayed just long enough to be polite. I think it was obvious right away there were not going to be any sparks there. I guess I'm a lot different at work than I am when I'm out to enjoy myself. She told me this morning she thought I was the shy and conservative type, but clearly that's not the case. Hahaha! I usually dress down at work, don't even wear makeup, and I am pretty quiet and like to keep to myself. Pretty much the opposite of the way I am in "real life."
Saturday morning 90_north came over and we sat by the pool for a few hours. Then I went to my ex's birthday party, and that was fun. A lot of friends, kids, swimming, and good food. Saturday night Murty came over and we watched some James Bond and played with the kitty.
I got up pretty early on Sunday and spent some time cleaning and organizing before taking an afternoon nap. Then I met up with 90_north at Threadgill's for the Steamboat Reunion show. Had some awesome Chicken Fried Steak and some dollar Lonestars while we waited for her boyfriend's band to come on. After they played I helped them load up, so I got to be "back stage" while Vallejo was setting up. Pretty cool!
I have a ton of stuff to do this week, but I'm putting it off one more night so I can try out a Bikram yoga class after work tonight. 26 postures, 105° for an hour and a half. That should kick my ass into shape!
